Humanity has never been one to practice restraint. In 2072 we unveiled the Sub-Geo Excavator MPK-48 or The Terra Spear, and pierced the earth. What we woke up should never have been disturbed.
The Swarm. A name so simple, yet one that fails to capture the unspeakable horrors mankind has endured since their emergence. Once governments discovered Lumenectra, the glowing substance the Swarm excrete, protecting the people stopped being the priority. Profit did.
I founded The Exterminators to be a steadfast and unyielding force, an ironclad vanguard for the safety of all. They may brand us terrorists. I’d rather live with their scorn than stand by while innocents die by the thousands.
WILL YOU ANSWER MY CALL?
— Abdi, Commanding Chief of The Exterminators
Hive Dive blends the fun and strategy of card games with the speed, movement, and pacing of tag sports. It’s the game you and your friends would have invented at recess — but with rules beyond “nuh-uh, my gun was faster.”
Three factions. Three motives. One outcome — survival.
Roles come with powerful abilities that make each member a formidable adversary. However, once you die you are out for good.
Roles come with detriments. You can only tag or move in certain ways. However you can never be taken out permanently. When tagged you only leave temporarily.
Roles come with abilities to stall and trip up the other teams. You when by making sure none of the other two teams win.
Whispwasps are silent stalkers. Relying on stealth and surprise attacks.
Stolen experimental I.D.E.T. gear lets the Sacrifice release a paralyzing gas from their wrists, freezing enemies in place for 15 seconds. At any moment The Sacrifice can detonate their suit, sending every Swarm and I.D.E.T. agent back to base. A very powerful move, but the cost is high.
From two-team skirmishes to three-way battles. Bring 4 friends or 16 , there’s a mode for it.
The flagship mode. Exterminators raid the hive to steal eggs and study them. Swarm hides their nest and defends to the death.
Three-way chaos. I.D.E.T. throws sand in everyone’s gears and wins by surviving the timer.
The Swarm has surfaced. Eggs become civilians. Hold the line and save as many civillians as you can.
Hunt the immature swarm before they evolve. A race against the lifecycle itself.
Interference from an outside source.
The Swarm Monarch has hatched. One of you wears the crown. The rest must bring her down.
The flying terror of the deep tunnels. Pray you are not it’s target.
Swarm on Swarm combat, can you protect your nest?
Government muscle versus primal hunger. No Exterminators. No mercy.
Capture the enemy teams flag, the most basic of training now with a brutal twist.
Hidden in the hive. Game-changing if you find them. Worth dying for.
The only way to permanently kill the Swarm. Tag once. Make it count.
Grants the extra role “The Restored” , insurance against death until you’re the last one standing.
Total reset. Heals wounds, restores roles, even brings back the dead.
We wanted Hive Dive to feel authentic, so we promise: no AI was used in the creation of this game. Every role, every illustration, every line of lore came from real humans who love this stuff as much as you do.
Drop your email and we’ll let you know the second the Kickstarter goes live. Early backers get exclusive role cards.
